據猿猴保護組織「The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International」主席Tara Stoinski指，於短短六日之內，WSB成員就向基金會捐贈超過35萬美金、前前後後認養咗3500隻猩猩 (唔係買返去養，係畀錢助養)，而平時一個星期大概只有20隻猩猩被認養。Tara Stoinski接受BBC訪問時指：「他們真的改變了世界，展示了當人們聚集力量之後可以做到甚麼。當我們保護樹林、保護猿猴，我們都保護了這個世界。」
